Active lightning rods are one of the external lightning protection systems and can protect the area and structures within a certain protection diameter from the place of installation.

To date, the studies carried out to increase the effective area of lightning rods have generally been aimed at improving the excitation time of the upstream. Structural Features

Protection SET (Koruma Seti)

In accordance with the TS EN 62305 standard, facilities that have a lightning rod or Faraday cage must have internal lightning systems. Otherwise, impacts directed to the ground by the external lightning system pose a risk to the equipment and systems within the facility.

IsCon | Insulated Lightning Down Conductor

While trying to protect from the negative effects of lightning, "Lightning Protection Systems" are being developed in accordance with various standards. Insulation is of great importance when installing these systems. Insulated conductor (isCon) significantly prevents serious damage such as possible fire and human life while transmitting lightning discharge to the ground.
Generally, "S" protection distance must be maintained with specially insulated products. However, due to difficulties in application and the risk of touching the conductor due to its bareness, there may be a risk of fire, especially in areas such as petrol stations and filling facilities. For this reason, the use of insulated discharge conductor in lightning protection systems is a more common solution.


We need to know that in a facility where the necessary precautions for lightning protection and grounding are not taken, we face risks ranging from loss of production to fire outbreaks and even loss of life. While we invite our society to act consciously and sensitively in the face of all these risks, we would also like to emphasize the fact that "the conscious consumer is as important as the conscious producer." While avoiding small costs, it should not be ignored that future problems may cause higher costs.
