What is Insulated Carpet? What is it for?
Protecting employees against the electrical risks of their environment is an extremely important issue in terms of occupational safety. The isolated carpet/insulating mat, specially developed for this purpose, protects employees against electrical risks in the environment and attracts attention as a product that directly fulfills occupational safety requirements.
What are its Features / Advantages?
Amper Insulated Carpet is a thermoplastic (TPE) class material. The product is highly resistant to oil and solvents and is also non-flammable. Recycling is possible and economical. It does not wear out easily and is long-lasting.
Mandatory Areas of Use:
-Transformer centers,
-Electric power plants,
-Experiment laboratories,
-Machine and electrical panel fronts.
Experiments & Regulations
The dielectric strength values of the insulated carpet/insulating mat, which can be used in all areas with electrical risk, are determined according to TS 5119, EN 60243-1 and TS EN 61111 standards, and the relevant legal regulations are as follows:
1. TEİAŞ Occupational Health and Safety Regulation (Articles 37,42,69 and 79)
2. EMO Electric Internal Facilities Regulation (Article 33)
3. Workplace Buildings and Attachments Regulation (Article 28)
4. Regulation on the Use of Work Equipment (ANNEX 1 - Part 2 - Article 2.19)
5. TEDAŞ Occupational Safety Directive (Articles 47,55 and 57-I)
Product Options
Insulated carpets/insulating mats with a width of 100 cm are available in 2 - 3 and 5 mm thickness options. Since it is used in places involving electrical risk, there are yellow warning strips on both sides to draw attention to this risk situation.
