The Discharge Counter is intended for detecting and recording the lightning strikes received by lightning protection installations such as lighting arresters. Information received makes it possible to carry out specific maintenance of equipments
Application ; The discharge counter is an essential tool for verification of the detection of lightning currents .The information received makes it possible to carry out specific maintenance of equipments (an inspection of the installation every 5 lightning strikes).
Description ; Installation ; NFC 17-102: installation at approximately 2 m from its base.Mounting in serial on the down conductor, on a compulsory path of the lightning current.Meshed cages: installation recommended of a counter on each frontage, on thedown conductors connecting to the highest points of the structure.
Principle ; the detection and logging of lightning currents passing through the protection equipments .
